When one gets active in the scrapbooking world, one comes across a lot of personalities. Ladies from all walks of life who share the same passion for one craft. Varied we may all seem, we all share the love for papers, embellishments, tools, chipboards, flowers…everything the scrapbooking world could offer.
One group stood out to be on top of my list. MSW (www.myscrapworks.com), the people behind MSW are so diverse yet we all share the same passion of introducing the Philippines into the scrapbooking world.
As I became part of MSW family, I have had the privilege of contributing two articles titled as Altered Tags and Tipid Tips. It was an honor to be featured in the site. But the greatest joy in giving was the fact that I have shared something with other scrappers.
More than the articles, I am very pleased to be part of a friendship that knows no bounds. The ladies of MSW together with their families became my scrapbooking relatives. We have shared a number of good times in and out of the site.
However, the MSW family have to take some time away. For how long nobody knows. Although we are now on our individual lives and activities, I do hope that one day the site will be reborn and that we could all continue sharing, loving and creating new pages to cherish.

Got Sketch?
I found a great Flipina scrapper over the internet about three years ago. Valerie Salmon is from Carmel, Indiana, USA. A shoe designer by profession, she now designs and creates beautiful scrapbook pages, cards and projects. Valerie and I became friends instantly and have shared and exchanged numerous emails.
Her works and projects have been published in many scrapbooking magazines. Among them were Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc., Simple Scrapbooks and Paperkuts. Valerie have also been featured in the idea book, 'Ask the Masters' which came out about a year ago.
In spite of Valerie's enormous talent and successes, she still finds time to share her talent through her online classes at Got Sketch? and at Scrapbooks, Etc's Take a Class. And since I became Val's instant fan, I tried my luck with her Sketch 1 [ 8 Months Apart] and Sketch 2 [Enjoy Life]. My interpretation of her Sketch 2 even became 'Layout of the Day' at Scrapjazz.com Yay!!!
Sketch 1
Sketch 2
Since I became addicted to another craft (beading), I have totally set aside my scrapbook stuff and enthusiasm. Hopefully with Valerie's Got Sketch?, I might be able to get my groove again and start scrapping soon!

At last...
Hi!
I am Carrie Lynn. I have been hooked with scrapbooking as a form of therapy. Yes, therapy. You see, I have a skin disease known as psoriasis.
Since scrapbooking is a form of self expression and art, it helped keep my mind off my ailment. I became too busy with cutting papers, page designing and playing with everything colorful and nice.
Now, as my psoriasis is improving, I still scrapbook but beading and now wire work became new engagements. All three crafts became my friends of sorts...one who keeps me busy all the time.
I am married to a wonderful and very supportive man in Din. He captures the most precious moments and beautiful creations through his photography and I make the memories came alive through my scrapbooking and creativity at its finest in my beading and wire works. Together we make life's memories lasts.
